Drive-by blogging
So little time right now. So. Little. Time. Trying to finish a Ph.D. in science and make the transition into future projects that will keep the research momentum going is completely exhausting. And completely inconducive to blogging, and crafting in general, actually. I give you all that I've got.
18 blocks.
This UFO has been languishing in the pile since August, but the urge to finish it has struck. It must be the seeming endlessness of the hexagon blanket that is giving me the craving to finish something. If only I can find the time...

It must be hard to find time with that much going on! I can't even imagine...
Your crochet bag looks great! Whenever I have the urge to finish a project, I don't even question my motives, just do it fast before the feeling goes away!
I posted another video of Sadie on my blog, super cute but yeah I'm probably a bit biased. Check it out though, it's funny. Even if I do say so myself
I was gonna say "try not to work too hard" but that's probably not the best idea when one is working toward a Ph.D.!

I truly believe that there is an anti-correlation between time spent on blogging and effort expended on the Ph.D. This summer I've been working hard, harder than ever, and haven't been feeling the bloggy love because of all the hard ph.d. work.
good luck finishing up! you can do it!!
Maybe if (when?) I see you at OS in March, I can call you Dr. Amanda?!

LOVE your blog, Amanda, just found it tonight and your sense of color with the Jaeger is great. Are you following a pttern for the Hexagon Blanket, or are you making it up as you go? I have a deep stash of Rowan Magpie that's been chanting "coverlet" for a couple of years and this blanket is so interesting I might have to dig out the crochet hook.
BTW, good luck with your Ph.D. I was almost into a program in evolutionary biology at U of Michigan before I woke up and moved to Portland, heh, heh.

Sarah and I were talking the other day and were wondering how close you were to finishing up that darn Ph.D. We were also wondering if you and the husband were planning on being up in the Seattle area for any of the holiday season...
